Mike has eight straight years of Staffing Industry recruiting in Silicon Valley. He is currently dedicated and responsible for one of Adecco’s key clients, Google. Recently, Mike served one year as Recruiting Manager for a local staffing firm. Prior, he served two years as Recruiting Team Lead for a National Test Lab, ISO registration, and Staffing company where he started out as a Technical Recruiter in the year 2000. Describe an ideal candidate for ADECCO ENGINEERING & TECHNICAL?
The ideal candidates for Mike’s concentration at Google consist of the following: Google prefers to hire Engineer’s from a top-tier university system like the following: Stanford, Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, MIT, Cal Tech, USC, UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, and University of Santa Clara . Google wants people to have a minimum BS degree in Computer Science, but MSCS is highly preferred as well as PhD for Engineer positions. A degree form secondary universities is acceptable for non-technical positions, but MBA’s are highly preferred. Google takes hiring very seriously and likes to make consensus based decisions. To that end, it can take up to two weeks for the hiring team to make a definitive decision as to whether they'd like to have you join their team. So, patience is a virtue. Google is not a conventional company, and they don’t intend to become one.
