Global Director of Sales

Manage a team of account managers to develop and maintain new business opportunities in the coatings industry. This position is a newly expanded role and candidate will work in close collaboration and will report to Vice President of Business Development.

Responsibilities:

Manages a team of 10-11 strategic account managers with 2 in Europe.
Responsible for team and company achievement of quarterly and annual sales goals.
Develops and maintains approximately personal strategic client accounts
Assists team members with the development of strategic client accounts, where appropriate
Develops team members, including conducting performance appraisals according to company policy.
Assists with the successful management of internal clients
Participates in internal leadership events, committees and meetings as necessary

Skills & Attributes:

The Candidate/incumbent should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 5 years of successful sales experience in the coatings industry. An advanced degree is beneficial. Candidate/incumbent should have a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and industry standards.
Strategic planning skills with past history of structuring alliances and developing new, profitable channels of distribution.
Travel potential is 50%.

Compensation: 130-145K Total Compensation to 220K
