Client is leading worldwide manufacturer of float glass and fabricated glass products for the commercial and residential construction industries, in addition to being one of the top 100 global automotive suppliers. Ranked in the top 50 of all privately held companies by Forbes. Client has manufacturing operations in over 20 countries, throughout North America, Europe, South America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Production Supervisors are responsible for leading a team of 8 to 12 team members in a NON-UNION ENVIRONMENT. Responsible for the five key areas of manufacturing: Safety, People Development, Quality, Productivity and Cost.

Developing and Motivating Others
Is good at establishing clear directions, holds frequent development discussions; maintains two-way dialogue with others on work and results, creates a climate in which people want to do their best; lets people perform and be responsible for their work; is easy to approach and talk to; builds rapport well; is a good listener.

Innovation Management and Decision Quality
Is good at bringing the creative ideas of others to light; makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment, uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, strives to contain costs and reduce waste; finds ways to conserve resources; overcomes resource constraints.

Drive For Results
Communicates a positive, unified message surrounding plant and manufacturing goals; steadfastly pushes self and encourages others for results.

Building Effective Teams
Creates strong morale and spirit in his/her team; invites input from each person and shares ownership and credit.

Requirements:
* 2+ years supervisory experience, preferably within the production industry. Glass experience a plus.
* Demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
* Self-motivated and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to coordinate with other departments and managers and work as a team.
* Possess skills and abilities to help us achieve manufacturing excellence by establishing and communicating goals, coaching, evaluating performance and developing people to improve their performance.
* A desire to set high standards of work performance for yourself and others.
* Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule.
* Knowledge/experience with Lean principles a plus.
* BA/BS Degree
