A World Leader in the development and manufacturing of composite materials is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst for their Commercial Services Group located near Ontario CA.

Company has a long history of financial growth and stability, with a strong presence both domestically and abroad.

Position Summary:

• Development of integrated financial analysis tools to be used for modeling the financial performance of the Purchasing, Product Development and Engineering organizations. For example:

- Developing cost models and analysis for new products
- Providing financial and analytical support on R&D and Engineering projects
- Analysis to determine which R&D projects makes sense to invest in or should take priority
- Cost benefit analysis on R&D projects
- Assessing the value created by R&D investment

• Development and implementation of a project accounting system for the R&D and Manufacturing Engineering organizations
• Analysis of new capital investment proposals for the Engineering Group
• Gathering & analysis of industry data for competitive intelligence purposes for strategic procurement decision making
• Responsible for internal reporting of performance of the commercial services group (including management reporting)
• Development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems and controls for the Commercial Services Group
• Complete special projects as needed

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years experience in financial analysis, in a manufacturing (industrial products a plus) environment.
• Strong PC skills (windows based spreadsheets and related graphics software applications) a must. Business Objects experience a plus
• Ability to communicate cost & financial information to people across the business
• Strong systems/PC based computer software applications (e.g. MS Excel skills, pivot tables & V Lookups), integrated computer operating systems, and database applications

Compensation: The position’s base salary is commensurate with experience, and is competitive with the California market. Additionally, the company offers a bonus program in which salaried personnel are eligible to receive a bonus payout of up to 15% of their annual
