An Operations Support Manager (OSM) is a business partner working hand-in-hand with plant manufacturing, marketing and procurement management in their daily decision making needs. The OSM is foremost a business generalist that understands the factors that drive the success of the business and is a key part of the management team that interprets and influences those factors. The OSM will help lead efforts to achieve business process redesign within the finance function and will work with plant management to achieve similar success in all other areas of our business.

Responsible for providing business support for Plant Manager, sales, production and purchasing staff-strategic planning, performance analysis & reporting, new business analysis, cost analysis using activity based costing, sales & profitability reporting and supply chain management.

Manage customer credit and collection-policy maintenance and establishment of new customers-oversight of collection activities performed by customer service representatives, ultimate responsibility over collect-ability of A/R.

Oversee information services function, maximize performance of Business System-implement and participate in the design/development of new systems-supervise IS initiatives and provide backup

Perform general accounting-oversight of supplier payments-monthly close process and financial statement preparation

Requirements:
· Bachelor degree in accounting (preferred), finance, or related field
· 5 to 10 years of manufacturing experience in the financial, accounting, cost management, or related field
· Supervisory experience
· Evidence of prior involvement in several of the roles required by the position
· Willingness to relocate to multiple locations within North America for future opportunities and promotions is a plus
