This position will research the development of next generation x-HPHT downhole transducer / sensor design.
Required for the position:
PhD in Physics or Engineering with 2 years relevant experience
OR a Masters degree in Physics or Engineering with 5 years relevant experience
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of Masters degree mandatory.

Experience must include: applied sensor research; finite element analysis (FEA) of piezoelectric materials using ANSYS and / or COMSOL; analytical tool (MATLAB); 250B Saunders network analyzer; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint; and technical writing.

Job duties include: Finite element analysis (FEA) of mechanical & electrical properties of piezoelectric materials including quartz, gap capacitance, mechanical & piezoresistive sensors. Analyze & solve closed form equations to understand the pressure & temperature response of piezoelectric transducers, understand & develop printed circuit board electric oscillation circuitry that drives the developed pressure sensors. Aid in commercialization of developed products and oversee clean room to successfully manufacture & maintain high-quality, reliable sensors.

Compensation: commensurate to experience
