Job Title: Director of Engineering
Department: Engineering
Report to: President

Desired Outcomes:
• Ensure that all engineering projects, initiatives and processes are successfully completed and delivered on time

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee all engineering efforts (hardware, software, mechanical, electrical) to facilitate successful delivery of products.
• Identify potential barriers and implement solutions.
• Communicate successfully with other team members to ensure customer commitments are met.
• Manage workload and analyze/anticipate staffing requirements.
• Provide recommendations regarding employment, perform employee evaluations and performance counseling if necessary.
• Develop and implement processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity.
• Provide routine status updates/reports to owner of the company.
• Manage customer communication as necessary.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 10-15 years of experience in Engineering Management
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization
• Ability to interact with customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Knowledge of engineering development processes
• Experience in successfully managing a diverse group of employees

Salary Range: Based on Experience-Base salary plus performance based incentive, 401K match and profit sharing
